Topdressing sand and soil blend to ensure your lawn stays lush and green year round.

Top dressing is a blend of very fine sand (about 70%) and screened topsoil and it is used up and down the country by greenkeepers and pitch carers to keep their grassy areas in tip top shape all year.

You only need a very fine layer of topdressing to give your grass a boost and you can also use it to repair patchy bits of lawn that may have suffered from heavier traffic than normal. Just spread it over the rough bits and re-seed.

A cubic metre of topsoil (1000ltrs) will cover around 12-15m² at a depth of about 50mm - you only need about 10mm of this though - a little goes a reeeal long way!
There is around about 1.3 tonnes of topsoil to every cubic metre but we tend to work on a one for one basis to allow for the different densities in composts and soils.

"Lawn Top Dressing" I ordered 40 bags of Dandy''s Top Dressing and these arrived palleted in just a few days and in very good condition. All of the bags were intact and did not split while I was moving them. The top dressing mix looked OK, if a little heavy on sand, but it should do the job I wanted it to.
