Dandy's Top Soil reafimed it's position as UK's Leading Top Soil Supplier this week, with it's aquisition of over 110,000 tonnes of high quality virgin Topsoil, close to it's top soil production facility at Sealand, Chester.
The Company's latest addition to it's quality top soil stock, is the largest single source of top soil aquired by the family business which was established in 1826. The family business has won numerous awards over recent years including Environmental and Small Business of the Year Awards. The Company has also recently been short listed for The High Sherriff's Enterprise Award, the results of which will be announced in March.
The new stock pile takes the total amount of the Company's certified quality top soil to over 180,000 tonnes, which is expected to last the Company for the next 12 months, based on the previous years record sales. Before Dandy's Top Soil put their name to a soil, Dandys adhere to strict testing procedures in line with The British Topsoil Suppliers Association Guidelines, this is done in order to protect Dandy's Customers from potentially hazardous contaminated soils and also to provide the assurance that many local authorities and building regulators require. Dandy's Business Development Manager Simon Hughes commented, "At Dandy's Top Soil we pride ourselves on the high quality of the soil which we sell. Our top soil is considered to be the finest, most fertile top soil, readily available in the UK today, by hundreds of landscapers and home owners alike. Dandy's Top Soil has been left fallow for at least 5 years but up to 20 years in most cases, which as every farmer will tell you, is the best possible strength a soil can have to ensure it is highly fertile and ready to grow. Another added benefit of leaving a soil fallow for so long is that no chemicals or pesticides are used on it, thus creating a natural organic end product. These are qualities which many others within our industry will find it hard pressed to match. Our latest stock pile of around 112,000 tonnes takes our total stock up to over 188,000 tonnes of beautiful, rich, Cheshire top soil, this along with the doubling in size of our Top Soil Production and Packaging Facility at Chester, confirm our position as UK's Leading Topsoil Supplier." |
